The Marriage of Miss Lily Allen to Mr Roy Lemuel Batey was celebrated on Saturday at St Lukes Church of England, Dookie, by the Rev. C.H.Rodda. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs E Allen of Queen Street Dookie, and the bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr & Mrs T.P. Batey, of Yabba North. The bride wore a frock of ivory satin, Her tulle veil was held in place by a cornet of orange blossom. The bridesmaids were Misses Ethel Allen and Ruth Batey, who wore mauve georgette. Mr Edgar Batey was best man.
